Privacy Policy

The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to explain the information practices of VerVise, LLC (“VerVise”, “us”, “we”) and the choices you can make about the way your personal information is collected and used by VerVise on and through the VerVise Site (the “Site”).

Your use of the Site is governed by and subject to this Privacy Policy and by the Site Terms of Use (collectively, the “Terms”). Capitalized terms not defined in this Privacy Policy are defined in the Terms of Use.

1. Collection of Information

We collect no Personally Identifiable Information from you, other than when you provide it to us, and then only the specific items of Personally Identifiable Information that you provide. The term “Personally Identifiable Information” is any information that can be used uniquely to identify, contact or locate you individually, such as your name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address.

In order to respond to a Survey on the Site, qualify for a Reward and receive a coupon for a Reward, you will need to set up a Site account (an “Account”). We ask for Personally Identifiable Information when you register for an Account; additionally, we may ask for Personally Identifiable Information from you in order for you to sign up for an email newsletter, submit a question to the Site asking for assistance, or enter a promotion or contest offered on the Site. We will not collect any Personal Identifiable Information about you on the Site unless you provide it to us. Therefore, if you do not wish that VerVise obtains any Personally Identifiable Information about you, do not submit it to us directly, or indirectly (such as in response to a question in a Survey).

When you submit your Personally Identifiable Information on the Site, you are giving your consent to the collection, use and disclosure of such information as set forth in this Privacy Policy.

We also may collect certain non-Personally Identifiable Information when you visit many of the pages on our Site. The non-Personally Identifiable Information that we may request and collect could include demographic information that you provide us such as age, gender and geographic location, as well as information relating to your means of accessing the Site such as the type of browser you are using, the type of operating system you are using, and the domain name of your Internet Service Provider. We may collect, store or accumulate certain other non-Personally Identifiable Information concerning your use of the Site, such as information regarding which of our pages are most popular.

2. Use of Information

We may use the Personally Identifiable Information for a number of purposes, including to respond to an inquiry from you about the Site, to facilitate the Surveys or Rewards, to send you alerts or notices about additional Surveys or Rewards that we believe might be of interest to you, or to communicate with you, such as to notify you when you have won one of our contests or promotions (if any), to provide a personalized experience on the Site, or to contact you about your Account. We may also use the information to provide you with service related announcements concerning the Site.

We may use the non-Personally Identifiable Information gathered from you and other users of the Site on an aggregate basis for internal business purposes, such as generating statistics, developing marketing plans and enhancing the design and content of the Site. In addition, we may share or transfer such aggregate non-Personally Identifiable Information with or to our affiliates, contractors, agents, licensees and partners.

You should be aware that, from time to time, a Survey on the Site may request that you provide Personally Identifiable Information as part of your response to questions asked in such Survey. This Personally Identifiable Information will then be made available to the Merchant offering the Survey when the Survey responses are made available to the Merchant.

3. Disclosure of Personally Identifiable Information

a. No Disclosure of Personally Identifiable Information for Third Party Marketing Without Your Consent

VerVise will not provide your Personally Identifiable Information to third parties for their use in marketing their products or services to you without your consent.

b. Fraud Protection and Compliance with the Law

VerVise may disclose any information, including Personally Identifiable Information, we deem necessary, in our sole discretion, to comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request. We may also exchange information, including Personally Identifiable Information, with other companies and organizations (i) for credit fraud protection; (ii) to protect and defend the rights or property of VerVise or the rights or property of other users of the Site; or (iii) to act in an emergency to protect the personal safety of users of the Site or the public.

c. Service Providers; Merchants

VerVise may retain other companies and individuals to perform functions consistent with our Privacy Policy on our behalf. Such third parties may be provided with access to Personally Identifiable Information needed to perform their functions for VerVise (such as managing email newsletter and message distribution, providing marketing advice, and website hosting and management), but may not use such information for any other purposes.

In addition, Merchants may request that we provide them with certain demographic information that you make available in your Account. However, if we do so, it will be on an anonymous basis only.

d. Business Transfers

In the event that VerVise sells certain of its assets, user information, including Personally Identifiable Information, may be one of the transferred business assets. By submitting your personal information on the Site you agree that your data may be transferred to such parties in these circumstances.

4. Use of Cookies

To enhance your online experience we use “cookies.” Cookies are text files placed by the Site in your computer's browser to store your preferences. Cookies, by themselves, do not tell us your e-mail address or other personally identifiable information. However, once you choose to furnish the Site with Personally Identifiable Information (such as registering for an Account), this information may be linked to the data stored in the cookie. We use cookies to enable you to save your password (which we store only in our database in an encrypted version) and Account information, to personalize your experience on the Site (e.g., by recognizing you by name when you return to the Site), and to understand Internet usage on the Site. In addition, we may use cookies to offer you additional Surveys or Rewards.

You always have the option of setting your browser to warn you when a cookie is being accessed on your computer, to delete cookies that are currently on your computer or to decline cookies altogether. However, to take full advantage of the Site and its features, your browser will need to accept cookies. The settings on your computer that allow you to accept or refuse cookies vary depending on the Web browser you are running. Please check the help tab of your browser for specifics on your software.

We may also use pixels, “Web Beacons” (which are usually small, transparent graphic images) and navigational data like Uniform Resource Locators (URLs) to collect information regarding the date and time of your visit, the features, information, Surveys and Rewards you viewed, or if you opened a VerVise e-mail newsletter. This type of information is collected to make the Site and its offerings more useful to you and to tailor the experience with us to meet your special interests and needs.

5. Correction or Deletion of Personally Identifiable Information

It is important that your Personally Identifiable Information is kept accurate and current in your Account. You can access, update, and delete information in your Account by logging into your Account and accessing “My Profile” and/or “My Settings”. In “My Settings” you also have the ability to manage notification settings in order to regulate when you receive email messages from VerVise. If you wish to close your Account, contact us by email at team@vervise.com, and we will make a reasonable effort to close your Account and delete your information from our files. We cannot, however, delete your Survey records.

We will retain your information as long as your Account is active or as is necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our Terms of Use.

6. Children under 13

This Site is not intended for children under the age of thirteen (13) and VerVise does seek to collect any Personally Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. However, if children who are under 13 provide Personally Identifiable Information to us, their parents or legal guardians can request that we delete this information from VerVise's files by sending us an email to team@vervise.com. We will use all reasonable efforts to delete children's information from our database.

7. Consent to Processing In the United States

By providing any Personally Identifiable Information to VerVise, all users, including, without limitation, users of the Site in Canada and the European Union, fully understand and unambiguously consent to this Privacy Policy and to the transfer of such Personally Identifiable Information across international borders.

8. Security

We have put in place various security measures in accordance with industry standards to protect the security of your Personally Identifiable Information both online and offline. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the Internet is not completely secure. Therefore, although we have implemented these procedures to safeguard against unauthorized disclosures of information, we cannot guarantee that the Personally Identifiable Information that you provide us will never be disclosed in a manner that is inconsistent with this Privacy Policy. If you have any questions about security, you can email us at team@vervise.com.
